On 17th September, members of the Guild enjoyed a sunny visit to the new Malmaison hotel currently under construction in the centre of York, with views over the minster from the sky bar. The contractors, Broadley Group, highlighted the challenges of working in a tight city centre site using Zone Manager a delivery management system. Sound proofing and interior design challenges were also highlighted.

While building a building some challenges are not visible to anyone except the constructors. Their job is not like others where they can relax all day. They have to solve problems in the real world and not theory. Leave a Reply. |
