Last Friday evening was the Guilds annual dinner, an evening of good food, wine and company enjoyed by all who attended. In preparation for the upcoming mystery plays (Sunday 9th & 16th September) we had our final rehearsal earlier today, all went smoothly and we are looking forward to performing in front of crowds next weekend. Last night was the 62nd Annual York Guild of Building Dinner, this year hosted at Kings Manor. We would like to thank everyone who was involved in the preparation of the event and everyone who came to the dinner.
It was a great night meeting new and old members of the guild as well as their guests; in such close quarters we all got to know each other quite well! It was truly a night filled with good food, good drink and good company. Highlights of the night included our Master Sally Walker's speech and presentation of awards to York college students, and our speaker Christian Vassie's wonderful film and talk on the future of our city. |
