Thanks to everyone who attended the Master’s Summer social, in aid of St Leonards Hospice. We raised £85.00 on the night and a further £100 through an online donation, so a huge success. Michael has now raised a total of £1225 so far. It was a great evening with some delicious food and members and their partners had a chance to mingle with some new and prospective members. A special thanks go out to Dr Fontebasso who donate a fabulous homemade Tiramasu, which vanished rather quickly. We though it would be nice to share the memory with some informal pictures from the evening.

'We had an excellent day. The weather was kind and all aspects of the venue were spot on. A good day was completed by a YGOB comprehensive win of 3.5 points to 0.5 points. Plaisterers members won the nearest the pin and longest drive giving them some compensation for their loss in the match.' Last Friday was the guilds Gin tasting Social, with a presentation from Pete McNichol of York Gin and plenty of samples those in attendance had a very enjoyable evening . Fancy an evening of Great Gin & Fantastic Company? then why not join Cherryl & Paul in supporting the masters charity by drinking some award winning local gin.

Annual service, Craftsmanship awards, Guardian Glass trip and York College Apprenticeship awards14/1/2018 Photos from the Annual service, Craftsmanship awards, Guardian Glass trip and York College Apprenticeship awards Photos form the recent Guild Visit to the North east, visiting Bishop Aukland, Kynren and Beamish. Yesterday, the Guild saw off the month of January with a Winter Social held in Bedern Hall. It was a fun night, which saw us raise over £80 for the Josephs Trust charity. As for the entertainment, the soup was grand, the cake rich, the movie intriguing and the raffle a hit.
Our master Sally was also able to award York College student, Michael Basset, who was unable to attend the Guild Dinner previously and was therefore unable to collect his medal. A massive thank you to everyone who was involved in organising the event and to everyone who attended, helping to raise the money we did. Photographs are in the Gallery 2017. |
